Yesterday’s tragic explosion at Robbins Mill has deeply impacted our community, and our hearts are with the victims, their families, loved ones, owners, coworkers, and all those affected.

Over the past day, we have witnessed an incredible outpouring of support, compassion, and generosity from the people of Searsmont, surrounding communities, first responders, local organizations, and people across the entire State of Maine. In moments like this, we are reminded of the remarkable strength, resilience, and kindness that define our town and our state.

We also understand that many residents are seeking information and updates. We ask for your patience and understanding as emergency responders, investigators, and officials continue their work. Public details have been limited to ensure information is accurate and families are properly notified. As soon as confirmed information becomes available, it will be shared here promptly.
